Overview:

Work with web team to develop multiple web based applications and automation tools to replace manual processes and integrate existing web modules into enterprise business environment. Communicate directly with client to determine requirements, develop web solutions, then upon execution, provide client with demonstrations, training, and technical documentation. Ensure that products are compliant with all applicable government regulations.

 

Main tools used: ColdFusion, ASP, SQL Server, VB Script, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, HTML and CSS.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop multiple web applications and automation tools with ColdFusion
  • Migrate existing “classic” ASP applications to ColdFusion
  • Maintain existing “classic” ASP applications before conversion to ColdFusion
  • Develop business automation tools by defining goals and requirements with the client.
  • Assist with developing business reengineering processes from manual processes to web functionality.
  • Develop log-on, access control mechanisms.
  • Design and develop forms; create reporting functions and dynamic web pages using a centralized database (SQL Server).
  • Provide product demonstrations to client including prototypes and final production.
  • Provide user training to functional managers.
  • Develop technical documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with ColdFusion, ability to support Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and related technologies
  • Experience with Dreamweaver, Flash,  and other related applications
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Understanding and experience with Section 508, OpSec, and other DoD website guidelines
  • Experience specifically involved in automation process development and web integration
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organization and planning skills
  • Experience in a military environment a plus
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check
  • U.S. Citizenship required
